Compete in the Kia Champ into the Arena amateur football tournament

In conjunction with its global partnership with Fifa, and as one of the main sponsors of the 2017 Fifa Confederations Cup 2017 in Russia, Kia Motors South Africa will once again afford eager football fans the opportunity to compete in the Kia Champ into the Arena amateur football tournament.

With Kia’s innovative tournament, Kia distributors from all over the world host a five-a-side soccer tournament in their respective markets in search of the best amateur football team.

The winning team from each country then moves on to the Champ into the Arena World Finals, where they get the opportunity to compete against the winning sides from other participating countries for the ultimate glory of being crowned global champions. With the success of the 2016 Kia Champ into the Arena tournament, Kia South Africa will once again be hosting this tournament until 7 May.

The day-time regional tournaments will consist of one tournament per region with the top six teams competing in the national final, which will take place at Discovery Soccer Park on 7 May.

“We’re delighted to be a part of this exciting global campaign once again,” said David Sieff, marketing director for Kia Motors South Africa.

“We look forward to witnessing the competitiveness and great sportsmanship that was displayed this time last year. Most importantly, may each man enjoy our tournament and play his best. Who knows, perhaps you’ll be off to perform on the international soccer stage in Russia come June this year.”

Entries will close one week before each of the regional tournaments, with teams being notified of their places on the Monday before the tournament.
