Letter: Beggars keep Braamfontein clean

In the Braamfontein area, the so-called beggars have a sign, ‘I keep this area clean’. They have a broom and a plastic bag. The area is spotlessly clean, no paper, weeds, plastics or trash laying around.

If each beggar would do this at every intersection, Joburg and Sandton would be spotless and people would not mind paying.

There are plenty of jobs available, but these beggars have certainly done something special with their plastic bags and next to them are empty plastic bottles, paper and rubbish.
